DIRECTORS NOTE — Welcome to the first edition of Windows into Waldorf on our new website!
Thank you Ms. Carrady and the elementary faculty for your tremendous work over the past few weeks producing the amazing Michaelmas play we experienced today. The pageant is produced each year and roles are assigned by grade, so students over several years will participate in all aspects of the story. In this way the seasonal cycles, the depth of meaning in the story, the growth in student skills, is evident in each production, and links the past to the present. It is a unique and wonderful tradition.
Please join with our faculty and other members of our school community for fun and festivities at the Garlic Festival this Sunday 29th between 10:00 and 5:00. The event is literally happening on our doorstep - on Spadina Road directly in front of our Childcare Centre. Waldorf Academy has an information booth and is hosting the children’s play area on the lawn of the Archives building. Drop by and join in. If you can volunteer an hour or two that will go far to help us as we celebrate Waldorf Academy and Childcare with the wider community. Please see the entry and link below.

GRADE SCHOOL NEWS — Waldorf Academy is thrilled to welcome Amanda Moir to our faculty as the French teacher starting on October 1. Madame Moir holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies from the University of Waterloo, and has 12 years experience in language instruction in Toronto, China, and South Korea. Madame Moir brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for teaching to our community. We are excited about the inspiration and enthusiasm she will bring to our students as they continue their journey in foreign language!
