DIRECTOR’S NOTE
Hanging side by side on the north wall of the Waldorf Academy gym are championship banners. They cover several sports including volleyball, floor hockey, and indoor soccer. The last year a banner was hung was 2009, there were three that year, and also three in 2008. On Tuesday the co-ed under 12 soccer team won the championship and we will commemorate by hanging a banner. Sixteen years is a long time to wait between championships. We are proud of the team and our coach, Isaac Ankamah.
If you turn your gaze from the banners to the south wall, you will see the stage. It is beautifly set for the Grade 6 production of Robin Hood. I mention this as the majority of students on Tuesday’s championship soccer team are performing in the play tonight.
This is a concrete example of how Waldorf Education provides amazing learning experiences for our children. Standing ovation for the students and the faculty.
Wishing everyone a lovely long weekend.
Conor

An awesome team achievement. It has been many years since Waldorf Academy has hoisted a sports banner in the gym! We’ll turn it into a celebration.
Our team has made the school proud and we thank the players (and their parents!) for digging in and pulling off the win, quite an accomplishment. Thank you to Coach Isaac for your leadership.

ASIAN HERITAGE MONTH
What are some of the bridges between cultures that we enjoy? Food? Music? Literature? Comedy? The Arts?
Waldorf Parents are amazing! Students in Grade 3 enjoyed a feast for the senses with an Asian Heritage Month celebration full of conviviality and tasty fun. Thanks Waldorf parents!
Asian Heritage Month is an opportunity for us to learn more about the diverse culture and history of Asian communities in Canada, as well as to acknowledge the many achievements and contributions of people of Asian origin who, throughout our history, have done so much to make Canada the country we know and love.
The theme for Asian Heritage Month 2025 is: “Unity in Diversity: The Impact of Asian Communities in Shaping Canadian Identity”. This theme acknowledges the abundance of diversity present among Asian Canadian communities, and how this richness has contributed to building a unifying Canadian identity. The diverse nature of Asian Canadian communities is considered as one of their strengths, just as it is in our Canadian identity.
MAYFAIR - More Pictures from our community!
Our thanks to everyone who helped make it possible! An unforgettable celebration of Spring.
