Early Childhood

"I’ve always known that my work would be in the field of child care and Waldorf is the perfect place for me to pursue that because it is so aligned with my beliefs and values."

Katherine Fulford was introduced to Waldorf education in 2001 while attending the University of Guelph for international development and child studies. She completed the Waldorf Foundation program at the Rudolf Steiner Centre in Toronto and has participated in numerous Waldorf professional development programs as part of her on going training. In 2005, Katherine completed the Waldorf teacher education program at the Rudolf Steiner Centre before joining Waldorf Academy as a kindergarten assistant in the Star Garden Kindergarten. She became lead teacher there in 2009. Katherine continues to deepen her understanding of Waldorf education and child development. She was the grade one teacher for the 2013/14 academic year and has completed the kindergarten cycle. She is taking the senior kindergarten class to grade one.
