Ms. Oliveira joined Waldorf Academy in 2020 as a supply teacher in the Childcare Centre as well as in the Sun and Star Garden Kindergarten. Andressa holds a Bachelor in Physical Education from UEM (Universidade Estadual de Maringa) and a Post-Grad Swimming Certificate from UGF (Universidade Gama Filho) in Brazil. In 2015, Andressa moved to Canada and shortly joined Ciranda Brasileira – a Community Association – where she had the first opportunity to lead a group of TCKs (Third Culture Kids). Aware of the challenges of raising a child abroad, Andressa has an impulse to continue seeking to understand her surroundings and designed a project called ‘Brasilidade como Herança’ (Brazility as a Heritage) to inspire children and ensure cultural awareness within her community. For the past few years at the YMCA, Ms. Oliveira worked with children and adults of various ages and heterogeneous groups both in Brazil and Canada. Andressa endeavours to follow and show her passion in her everyday work with the children. Proud of her Brazilian Heritage, Andressa shares her affection with the children through Brazilian Indigenous People’s Legacy, games, songs, and art.
