Lian Novak holds an English Literature degree from York University and a Marketing Communications certificate from the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies. She brings many years of communications, stakeholder relations, and inter-disciplinary program management experience. Diversity and inclusion are strong values of hers as her experience as a person of colour informs her views on how to apply equitable practices.

Lian has a son at Waldorf Academy and has been a member of the Community Council since 2021. Her passion and enthusiasm for the school’s holistic and creative approach, coupled with her ability to speak first-hand about its benefits, enable her to easily relate to and welcome new parents that are seeking a Waldorf education for their child.

Lian believes that Waldorf Academy inspires critical thinkers of the modern world. Soul, heart, body, and mind are integrated into the daily school experience. Simple and slower, the pace of childhood is respected and protected.
