Jennifer Deathe

With a deep understanding of Waldorf education, a team mentality, and a strategic and forward thinking vision, I believe I can play an instrumental role in the school guiding us towards a collective path of learning, stability and financial growth.

Jennifer Deathe has an M.Ed in Educational Leadership, Leadership in Learning, and a B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Toronto.  Since joining Waldorf Academy in 2009, Jennifer has thrown herself into the life of the school as the Marketing Manager,  the Admissions Manager and is currently serving as the Interim Director of the School and Childcare. She is an AWSNA delegate, a member of the AWSNA research leadership team, has recently published her research on diversity in the Waldorf Research Bulletin, chairs the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and is in process of completing her Waldorf Foundations certification. Externally, she also volunteers to support the admissions team at Trinity College, University of Toronto. Jennifer is responsible for the overall operational management and vision of the school and childcare. This includes the development and delivery of the school’s program consistent with the school’s mission, philosophy and goals, overseeing the school’s business operations and financial health, and assuring adherence to policy and procedure. Jennifer works in collaboration with the faculty leadership to ensure robust classrooms and educational programs that meet the new generation of students and families.
