Parent & Tot

A weekly program for you and your child in a beautiful Waldorf setting.
Children are carried by the consistent rhythm of creative play, snack, circle, story time and outdoor play.
A joyous and calm, yet very active environment: we grind flour, bake bread, play interactive games, sing, say rhymes and verses, and sometimes enjoy a puppet story.
Parents have the opportunity to learn to knit and to work on simple craft projects. Together, we enjoy our delicious organic fresh-baked bread or muffins, tea, and fruit.
Every class includes a brief discussion on various parenting topics and child development for children aged 18 months to 3.5 years.

Saturdays, 9:00-11:00am

Natalia Gomez and her son!

From a young age, Natalia knew she was born to be a teacher. Upon discovering Rudolf Steiner’s education vision at a Waldorf inspired school in Quito, Ecuador, she quickly identified with the philosophy; channeling her passion for knowledge, spirituality and a better understanding of child development. Natalia was raised in the Andean Mountains, where outside learning, organic and natural experiences are not only a philosophy but a way of living. She enjoys practicing yoga, singing, surfing, hula hooping, knitting and needle felting. Now with an infant, spending time with other parents is one of her most sacred moments, where learning and listening from others bring to her motivation and sympathy towards other families.

Natalia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Universidad Central del Ecuador. She is an alumnus of the Foundation Studies in Anthroposophy and is a student of the Waldorf Early Childhood Education programme at the Rudolf Steiner Centre. Natalia is a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in Canada with over a decade of experience working with young children. Natalia is a teacher at the Waldorf Academy Childcare Centre, currently on maternity leave.
