Early Childhood

This is Laura’s sixth year as a faculty member with Waldorf Academy.  She is returning to her role working with the Kindergarten children.  In previous years, Laura worked supporting the Senior Kindergarten, Grade One and Nursery classes.  From the Rudolf Steiner Centre in Thornhill, Laura received her Waldorf Teacher Education diploma for Grade School and Early Childhood in 2011 and 2012.   She also completed the Foundation Studies program in 2006.  As a young adult, Laura studied English Literature and Political Studies at Bishop’s University receiving her B.A. in 1991.  She also studied Art History at the University of Toronto from 2004-2005.  Her first experience with Waldorf Education came through family members who attended and taught at a Waldorf school in western New York.  She saw through their experiences the depth, quality and beauty of the curriculum.  She transitioned from a 17 year career in Advertising to explore this rewarding and meaningful work.   Laura is so very pleased to be starting another wonderful year with the Waldorf Academy community.
