Amyann Faul is delighted to be a new member of the Waldorf Academy community, having recently returned to Toronto after a year of teaching in Germany. Amyann has a B.Ed degree from OISE, a Master’s in Environmental Education from York University, and a B.A. (Honours) in English Literature and Philosophy. Amyann was an instructor with the P.I.N.E. Project for four years, providing nature education in the city; during this time she designed an outdoor education program for the TDSB’s Equinox School. Amyann is drawn to Steiner’s philosophy – especially the notion of teaching as an art. She has been attending workshops in Waldorf methods as well as using Waldorf tools in her teaching for years and is acquiring training in Waldorf Foundations. In January, 2015, Amyann joined Waldorf Academy to lead as the Grade 6 class as SCOPE instructor. She is excited to return to the school as the Grade Six Class teacher.
