We believe that Waldorf education should be accessible to those families who seek it.  Within our budget resources we do our best to provide assistance to as many families as we can. Families who are accepted into our school can apply for Tuition Assistance based on financial circumstances.

February 15, 2012 is the deadline for applications to Apple Financial for the 2012-2013 academic year.  Please  phone Apple directly if you have questions about any item on the application form.  Note that renewal contracts and deposits are still due back at school by the required deadline.

Online Application Process *NEW*

1. Visit www.applefinancialservices.ca.
2. Create a Parent Account Registration where you will be asked to provide your email address.
3. A verification message stating, “account set up” will be sent to the email address you provide.
4. Once this verification message is received you will be able to open the online registration form, which quite closely follows the format of last year’s form in terms of information requested.
5. At the end of the process, requests will appear for the uploading of tax information, such as your T4, current year’s pay statements, etc.  (If you have difficulty uploading this information, you can mark the information “to be mailed in.”
6. Once all your information is uploaded the payment section will appear where you can pay the application fee by credit card or debit.
7. A financial analysis, followed by a recommendation, is sent from Apple Financial to the Tuition Assistance Committee at Waldorf Academy.
8. The Tuition Assistance Committee reviews the results in the context of both the applicant’s full financial and family picture and within the school’s current Tuition Assistance budget – the Committee then makes a decision regarding the adjustment.
9. A phone call followed by a letter is made to notify the applicant of the Tuition Assistance Committee’s decision.

N.B. There will still be an option this year to apply the paper way, but it is not encouraged.  Because Apple will have to upload the information onto the system before they can process the application, it will cause a delay in the process.  You will still need to go through the first steps above to create the online account at which point you will be able to download the pdf version of the application form.
