The blanket is on display in the foyer. It measures 40 x 48. Raffle tickets are $10.00. The draw will take place on Earth Day April 22nd.
The Knit-a thon for Haiti was a beautiful success. Students and faculty from Grade One to Eight gathered in the gymnasium and knitted red and blue squares for one hour.
The blanket has been stitched together by the faculty and admin and will be auctioned off to raise additional funds for Haiti. Grade Six students counted and organized the donations as part of their business math block. The total so far from pledges gathered is $4,166.75. The Red Cross will allocate the money to Haiti and issue tax receipts for donations over $10.00.
Teaching our children to give is an important part of the Waldorf Curriculum. Thank you for supporting the children and the people of Haiti.
